Luke 5: 17-26
A paralyzed man wishes to be before Jesus. Unable to carry the man to Jesus because of the large crowds, four friends make their way to the roof where Jesus is speaking and lower the man down before Jesus. Seeing their faith, Jesus cleanses them of their sins and cures the paralyzed man who leaves rejoicing and praising God.
Group spiritual direction reflects the same spirit. We come together to support each other’s presence before God, not to fix each other. All sharing and responding is voluntary, influenced by the inspiratrion of the Holy Spirit.
